Mauldin, Kimberly
Welcome to the Irondale Community School Counselor page. My name is Kimberly Mauldin. I have worked in the field of education for 20 years. I have taught in Georgia, Maryland and Alabama. I began as a classroom teacher in Georgia where I spent 11 years of my career. While teaching, I earned my Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from the State University of West Georgia. This year is my ninth year as a school counselor and my fourth year as the Counselor at Irondale Community School.
As the counselor, I have the pleasure of working with the students, teachers, parents and community members. I enjoy seeing students in weekly classroom guidance lessons, small group sessions and individual sessions. Students can be referred by teachers, parents/guardians and self-referral.
I also am excited to announce that Jefferson County Schools is partnering with JBS Mental Health. Our school has been assigned a Counselor and Case Manager who will coordinate services for our students and families as needed.
If I can be of assistance to you or your child in any way, please contact me by phone or email. I look forward to getting to know you and your child.
